Nothing like a warm bowl of oatmeal on a chilly morning. And the nutrition is a great way to start the day!
Even though it's Spring, here in Wisconsin the mornings have been in the 50's lately.
Here's a quick and healthy method to cook your oats in the morning or anytime. It's complements of a dear friend of mine, Karen:
Heat 1 cup of water to boiling.
Add to 1 cup of rolled oats.
Stir and cover for ~15 minutes.
Remove cover and, optionally, add maple syrup, cinnamon, brown sugar, or whatever you like.
Take a bite, close your eyes, and enjoy the gift of wholesome food from the Earth--and your local grocer :-)
Enjoy!

Hi Kris- I just wanted to visit you and to thank you for your very kind and most helpful comment on my blog. I agree with you about the letter writing... it's just I feel so paralyzed right now. I almost fear what would happen if I really let myself go into all the feelings I have been going through... but I know I have to... so thank you for your very kind concerns about me. I think with my husband leaving this week for an extended business trip, I may get some much needed downtime to really go into all the things that have come up for me since the workshop.
Anyway, just wanted to touch base- you have a great blog here and I would like to link to you from mine if that's okay...
Thanks again... oh, and I love oatmeal- a real comfort food for me...

Her story of boundaries is heart-felt. Bigger than a bowl of oatmeal can "fix", but perhaps some self-nourishing is something we can all focus on now and again.
Love,
Kris
